Lingmell House is a large traditionally styled late Victorian house (formerly the Vicarage) and in keeping with the unique locale is, with the exception of essential utilitarian services, virtually unmodernised.

“Lingmell”, as it is known colloquially, is reached from a very minor tarmac road by eighty yards of unsurfaced farm track. Gravel paths lead from the gateways to the main entrance to the House.

Two low steps lead to the porchway door and a further step through the front door proper into the main hallway.

There are no bedrooms on the ground-floor but three generously proportioned bedrooms are reached via a wide two tier staircase to the first floor.

In keeping with the historic character of the building, none of the rooms are currently en-suite. There are however two commodious bathrooms, both have a bath, shower, WC and copious quantities of hot water. A separate WC room is also in that area.

A fully certified fire-alarm system is in situ. and there exist  two independant means of emergency egress, both via separate staircase routes.
